Kindred baseball parents/coaches,

This section was created to provide some additional information and awareness regarding player/coach opportunities outside of Kindred Youth Baseball.  While we always strive to do our best in supporting our local youth baseball program, we also want to grow and enhance Kindred baseball, as a whole.  We know that communication of potential options for broader opportunities is a large part in doing this. 

Our Kindred Youth Baseball program was established to create opportunities for kids (ages 7-18) to play baseball and compete on our local baseball teams and in local leagues.  We raise funds in several ways to help support this program and we use those funds to maintain/enhance facilities, buy equipment and uniforms, pay umpires, pay coaches (at the Babe Ruth and Legion levels), cover tournament fees, as well as many other expenses.   Kindred’s baseball program has had a lot of success over the years and is coming off one of its most successful seasons to date.  We feel this is due, in large part, to the time and commitment of the many volunteers, parents, coaches and players in our program. 

All that being said, Kindred Youth Baseball was also established as a recreational program consisting of varying skill levels to give all kids the opportunity to compete.  While we feel this is very important, we also know that some kids and parents are looking for more.  Additional competition and additional opportunities to compete in travel team tournaments and in some cases, sanctioned state tournaments. 

Kindred Youth Baseball encourages anyone interested in this added competition to reach out to Darin Gronwold ([email protected]), as a resource for any additional direction in creating a travel team and/or finding tournaments.  We will be posting tournament opportunities and details to our website and Facebook page as they arise. 

*Please understand that these travel teams are independent from Kindred Youth Baseball but still a representation of this community, so good sportsmanship should be held to a high standard.
